The Blender That Belongs In Every Kitchen!

o
I knew I loved my VitaMix blender but I didn't know so many other people loved the VitaMix with the same passion until I was surfing the Internet and came across the following comments:

"The one word that could be used to describe this is 'AWESOME'. There is absolutely nothing this unit cannot do. Able to leap tall buildings, just about. It has so much ommph, you can even make soup with it. The unit makes great smoothies, malts, you name it. It has enough gumption that we make healthy food for our dogs grinding whole chicken parts to puree with no hassle at all. It amazes me every time I use it, that it can just torque itself through any task you give it. I bet it could pull out tree stumps! Throw in fruit, core and all, and it makes it into juice. No bits of stuff floating around, just juice."

"I have owned several blenders before I purchased my VITAMIX but none of them lasted very long due to their poor quality. I purchased this one about five years ago and it is easy to use and performs outstandingly. I have yet to find anything that it cannot do other than clean my house."

"This appliance is able to reduce any vegetables into juice or make soup, makes excellent smoothies and comes with a recipe book that is simple and easy to use."

"The blade of this blender turns more than ten times faster than the blade of other blenders. The top speed of a typical blender is 3,600 RPM. The VitaMix turns at 40,000 plus RPM. What this means is you can toss in baby carrots, ice, and an ounce of sweet-and-sour mix, and have a great, healthy drink in under two minutes. The carrot is ground so fine, you don't really notice the fiber. The same is true with any vegetable. With the Vitamix, you don't lose fiber, you don't lose vitamins, you don't lose flavor. You get the most out of your food. "

Smoothies are very popular today and I'd like to share a couple of recipes I found and use:

Fresh Fruit Smoothie:
1 banana
6 ripe strawberries
1/4 c. orange juice
1 ripe peach, quartered
3 scoops sherbert (favorite flavor)
1 c. low-fat-milk

Carob Yum Smoothie:
3-4 dates, pitted and soaked for 20 minutes
1 c. almond milk
1 banana
3-4 T carob powder
dash vanilla

Green Smoothie:
2 c. filtered water
2 apples, quartered
1 handful fresh spinach
1 handful baby carrots

We welcome your comments or additional favorite recipes using your VitaMix.
